Im working on taking a few more shots at different lighting and angles, I have no idea, slight markings and some writing

It looks kind of British or Irish, but I am far from an expert on coins that are barely identifiable.

Why do you need more pics, I already told you want it is. I am not guessing. I even turned the picture the correct way to show you.
 
Iron Patch I know, Thank You Very Much, I wasnt sure if there was a way to date it, I've also come up few different variations of the coin. I like to have a better understanding of it.

1785-1788 is the best you will get. There's more than a few varieties. (hundreds)

Could you try to do a rub to see what kind of details you can get? Use a thin piece of paper and pencil.
