Coin i.d. please

this should be an easy one. i don't have a foreign coin book so please help. this coin is dated 1955,on one side it haswhat looks like a old harp with the word eire on it.the other side has a bull and 1$ and at the bottom it has the word scillin on it. any help would be appreciated.didn't dig it up,found in pocket change.
