I found this today in a 19th century farm field. its penny size but very thin.

Is it a coin or trade token?

I would appreciate any help.

thanks

The thinness of the coin lends me to think it's some type of token.

Really to hard to tell. It looks like at this point, there's not much to lose, you could try running it through a rock tumbler, or perhaps a soak in apple cider vinegar, either might bring out a little more detail. Just a thought.

Thank you for the replies. The farm was once owned by the Haines family. It may be one of their tokens. I'll try cleaning it more too.
