Coin or what///

only has 50 stamped on both sides, edges are purfurated, appears to be copper or bronze. found in gravel/sandy soin about 8in down. most coins found in that area are 1889 - 1910. can anyone help me id this

I agree... I would think a merchant's token, a gambling token or a transportation token would have the vendor's name on it - somehow.

...but... made of brass?

Thats a poker chip. Years ago the lower denominations were made of clay, and the larger denoms were copper, brass, etc.
