I have been trying to buy whole boxes from this one bank where I got my 21 war nickels from a single box but they are reluctant to sell a whole box anymore....so I went in and bought $20 worth of nickels which they were ok with...out of that I pulled a 54 S which I learned was the last S minted nickel until 1968...also pulled a 1939 and lastly a 45 P war nickel....I think I am going to continue buying nickels from this bank piecemeal...for some reason they yield a higher amount of war nickels...and...as I perused through my book of nickels I noticed two war nickels I had forgotten about when visiting the coin dealer...so not a great evening but at least I wasn't skunked.

Nickels are a good denomination to look thru. You can usually find older ones and do well.

Maybe those loose coins in the drawer are change being used from their Coin-Star machine? I now my Credit Union has one for customers to use free of charge and it is used a lot.
