The "rim" on the copper item indicates to me that it is not a coin but the bottom (or top) to something. If it is copper, a little cleaning with a soft brush and soap and water might reveal some details that will help. My guess is that the lettering is on the smooth side and will turn out to be a manufacturer of the item. Too soon to guess.

If the silver thing is real silver, cleaning off the tarnish should help reveal any details.

I like your pics. They show which color and technique works best. And also show the difference between a white and colored background.

Looks like it could be an old phone token. But like Bigcy said. Needs a little gentle cleaning maybe.
