Coin ?

Found 15th of Jan not sure what it is about 8in hunting a dried creek bed in Columbus, Ms can't really see any writing but if you look real close there may be raised areas on both sides, maybe someone can make them out.

Whats it made of? The photo make it look like rusted iron. If so, then not a coin.

The only steel coin is the 1943 Lincoln cent, and that looks way too big.

I have something almost identical that I'm trying to figure out. It even looks close to the same size. My best guess so far, is possibly a game token.
