I saw a handful of rejects in a reject tray at a store where the manager swipes the dirt cup often, and it was Christmas 1 month early!

1942-P Merc

Aside from these beauties, there was a MOUNTAIN of clad totalling about $2.10, as well as a handful of foreign coins.

Great Finds
I think you should try to get that manager transferred?

My sons found a bunch of change one day including an 1800's indian head and a merc and proceeded to shout and
let everyone know their findings. I notice the greeter always checking the trays including the soda machines. Maybe I can get her transferred with your
manager?

i'm waiting for Christmas to come around people will star to cash in there change jars

Against the wind, haha perhaps we should. I've found just about everything in Coinstars this year.

Congrats that was a nice grab. Probably wouldn’t been there much longer. Good timing!

A few employees my age (around 20) giggled and said they would gladly save me coins. Should I mention my girlfriend now or later :D

Congratualtions on the nice silver coins! :occasion14:

Keep up the hunt, guys! Some time in the future, I intend to sit by a Coinstar machine for about 4-8 hours and make a research paper on what people leave behind. Just so that we can figure out some things!

Nice all the way around.

Nice! How someone can leave a Merc is beyond me... Congrats!

Wow! Treasure is where we find it- Congrats!

It's funny because I've never dug silver but I've found more in a Coinstar reject tray and a cash register this year than some people get in an entire year of MD'ing. I can hardly complain. 4 big silver dollars is a fantastic year.

Sounds like a nice tray worth of finds to me !

Rook, that sounds amazing. Show us the picture! I myself found a 1926 Canadian nickel, the key date far 6 variant on top of a Coinstar.

KG V Far 6 Nickel (key date).webp

Still my best find. I've also found a proof 1881 Morgan in a Coinstar. That picture, unfortunately, will have to be uploaded another day. I'm wicked whipped. Finals with school, and all!
