I went to Nucla Colorado Monday and with the presidents day holiday all the skiers were bumper to bumper eastbound I70 heading pack to the metro. Coming into Gateway Colorado these turkeys are almost always there to greet you in the morning. On my way out I checked out this eagles nest which Rginn first brought to my attention in a post he made clear back on May 15 2014 near De Beque Colo just about exactly mile marker 64. I did see the eagles head in the nest on the way west, but it wasn't in the nest when I returned east. However I did see the two eagles about 5 miles up the Colorado River on the shore of a gravel bar. Look maybe like they had fish to dine on.

Cool. Glad you got a pic of that eagle's nest. I couldn't when I spotted it first cause construction was goin on in that stretch and couldn't pull over. And these days I ain't left Summit County since last September due to 80 hr. work weeks. And yeah they hammered us this weekend. And it's still going, as they didn't all go home Monday. One bit of info I would like to pass on to visitors here--there are supply shortages I guess. I order pallets and pallets of bottled water every night and get maybe 10% of that order. Our tap water is perfectly fine to drink. And no I can hardly get much variety on Gatorade either. So buy beer which there seems to be plenty of and drink that and maybe y'all will be more pleasant to deal with.
