Yep! It was COLD and wet out on Saturday! Perfect day to look for points! Usually I find flakes before anything else, but this day the first find was the best find, and only 15 minutes into the hunt! It's made of flint/jasper, It's not fluted , any clue to type? The rest of the day netted me some nice scrapers also made of flint/jasper. Also the nice big piece of agate I saw from about 10 feet away, looks like a preform knife? Not fully worked anyhow! More obsidian flakes too, still hoping to find a full obsidian point in the future...... thanks for looking!( Don't know why, but the first pic should be the last pic in my grouping, and I can't figure out how to move it. )

While all are nice, I really like your first find. Thanks for the look.

Nice colors and finds

that first one is a dandy. Looks nice and thin too. Just a guess by looking in this book, I think you found you a Paleo point man. Might be what you would call a Midland or maybe a Milnesand ? What ever it is it is nice! wtg

Great day you had! Congrats!

Nice finds n Nice material!!!

Looks like you had an incredible hunt. Your point in the second picture looks like a small plainview. I also like the thumbscrapers.

Man, the secondary chipping and the base width looks paleo to me, but I don't find too much of that here on land. That dudes nice!

Those are some great looking points.

Nice finds. That first find is very nice. If you find sidenotch points in the same area, I'd guess it is an un-notched side notch. (Avonlea or one of the others.)

The scrapers are nice as well.

Better finds than I found any day during my 4 years in Missoula.
