January was really bad for me, but February flipped the switch

1st of the month I got a call from a local bank teller, she said some cashed in a few rolls of coin from their safety deposit box. I swung in before closing and picked up 2 rolls of halves, partial roll of quarters, a full roll and partial roll of dimes and a roll of nickels.

Results: 2 x '64 halves, 1 x 40%, 16 x silver washingtons, 21 x mercs, 66 x Rosies, 5 x war nicks, 1 buff, 2 v nicks.

Then I picked up my boxes:
Box 1 - '64, '68, '69
Box 2 - 14 x 40%
Box 3 - 13 x 40%, 5 x '64, '54p, '36s

sweet cull of silver. Nice find on the full date Buff and the V Nickel is in good condition, too.

That's a nice haul......Congrats

Very nice! Those silver Washingtons are just something to see from the wild.

Happy February. I'm really eager to get back into it. Just not enough time. Soon...........

Why in earth would someone store rolls in a safe deposit box then cash them in for face value? Senility?

I would say a homerun! Very nice.

Looking at the small volume of each of the silver denominations, I don't think that it was a FULL BLOWN "COLLECTION"Dump, as we think it as, but a personal odds & ends of silver coins that they managed to collect, but not for the sake of stacking silver.
Nice find, right place right time. Congrats

Exactly what I was thinking?? They had to have known what they had?? Weird!!

The teller said his wife had just passed away and he was clearing some things out. Also cashed in a lot of newer presidential dollars. She said he just didn't want them any more, didn't care.

Dozer: yup not a large collection dump but a collection none the less. Not from someone who collects avidly like most of us, but she new enough to hold onto them for a while.
