Hello Everyone...
Here is a pic of all of the Civil War plates I have dug since I started Metal Detecting.
In the middle is whats left of a medium fork tongue buckle I dug from a skirmish site on the Fairfax/Loudoun County line. Next to it is a plain plain militia plate I dug from a Confederate camp firepit, same camp as the carbine sling buckle. The US buckle at the bottom was my first plate, I dug it out of a garden in Leesburg, VA. It had been hit by a tiller a million times!! The sword plate I dug years ago.. the keeper I dug last week!!!
