Found a few flat buttons including the front of a two piece colonial button. Got a fragment of a paste stone buckle and only my second ever colonial cloth seal. Unfortunately its plow struck but still my favorite find of the day. Only newer keepers other than some wheats was the LC. Im really in need of some new sites:BangHead::BangHead:

Love that large that's a nice find I need one for my bucket lol. Looks like you had a good day.

Could you please explain "colonial cloth seal?"

Nice LC. That cloth seal is very interesting. I had never heard of those either, so thanks for the link.

That nipple button is not just colonial - it's early colonial - 1600s all day long.

Back is not right for a 1600s nipple button(see pic). I think its the front part to a two piece colonial button like this whole one. Its the only complete one Ive found Got loads of separate fronts and backs. Not sure if this style goes into the 1600s. Site seemed to be only mid 18th century
