COLONIAL FISHING HOOK?

I found this near where I found a colonial shoe buckle at an old farm site. It wasn't rusted.

AT MAX VDI = 25
Whites V3i VDI = -57

Is it a fishing hook or something else?

Any help would be appreciated.

It's made of iron?

Not sure. Like I said, it wasn't rusted when I pulled it out of the ground.

If you weren't so sure it's not iron, I would tell you that's typical of what a modern nail looks like, after rusting away in the ground. I have found many with that needle point on them. Wicked, and a good reason to wear gloves when digging.
