Metal Detecting
Got out this morning with my detecting buddies Tim and Angelo and hit a freshly cut corn field we never detected before. In a small overgrown area around what appeared to be a cellar hole we dug seven old coppers. Tim struck first with a nice Fugio cent and added an early large cent later in the hunt. Angelo managed a nice Connecticut copper, an 1800's half cent and an early large cent. I dug what appear to be two King George III coppers, one with what looks like a 1777 date. We also dug at least 12 flat buttons between the three of us.
