What color is the signature? Also what color is the number in the top right corner?

Also, holding it up to a strong light can offer indication of the type of paper it is written on as well.

For instance, here's one pf my 1776 Colonial Currency, Colony of New Jersey, Three Shillings Notes. I held it up to the light to see the NEW JERSEY watermark.
