Colonial pendant? Medal?

Ok yall, I've had this thing for a couple months and it bugs the crap out of me not knowing what it is. Anyone know? Ive found 30+ flat buttons, shoe buckle pieces lead galore, and other buckles at this site. The back looks as though it had some sort of pin that went through top to bottom i think (its broken in half). Thanks for looking. .

A white background is the worst with auto focus lenses. Try using a dark background and outside lighting for much better photos. And don't forget to crop.
