(SOLVED) Colonial?

Found this the other day at a site that I have done very little detecting at but have found things from early 1800s to early 1900s. Does anyone have any idea what this may be?

thats a tent rope tightner and dates to the later 1800's

Some type of tightener i think.. If I recall i have seen them before. I don't know the time frame for these mid 1800s?? not sure on that. Hope it gets ID

Edit: me and kuger typing @ same time... Late 1800s like Kuger is saying sounds right.
