There's gold in colts neck Nj from what I heard like an hour or 2 from me over at big Brooke's preserve you are allowed to fossil hunt over there too maybe ill get permission to use my little sluice

Gold in NJ? I don't think so. I hope I am wrong but not according to archeological surveys. I read one that said PA and NY has some. A lot of people are doughtfull of that. If you find any in NY, you have to turn it over. That is why no one reports any finds.

Yes there is!!! I have found a picker in one county and four grains in another county. And found these by just digging up a coffee can of finds and then classifying them at home. I have panned in big brook once, haven't found any gold there yet but found fun fossils and nice pieces of quartz.
