Well, it was great to get out this morning, as I haven't swung the coil in two weeks. I wanted to get out yesterday but was too busy, so instead I met up with Mike today for some more trashy-grove hunting with the 6x10 coil. Coinciding with our well-timed arrival was the arrival of Bucnrut and Pat. We all split up a bit and hunting was tough! I scored a '51 Rosey at the first location. After a few hours we all decided to hit a nearby area that I hadn't been to before, but pretty much everyone else had. I got lucky with a perfect dime signal right off the bat- no trash surrounding it, nothing, just a nice, perfect, deep dime signal that ended up being a nice '36 merc. After that, nothing but some clad and a few cool relics, including an old gas valve, a '79 Crook County dog tag, and other items. I noticed no one around me so I glanced across the field and saw the other three guys at the cars, talking and waiting for my @$$ to get over there. On my way, I got a broken high tone at the base of a huge oak tree and scooped up the '41-S merc at 3 inches. I went with the guys to another spot but left before them because I have to finish my hw (and type this!).
It was a perfect day to be out, save for the messy plug jobs someone did. Hope to see you guys soon!

Oh, the wheatie was the only one I found and it's a '36-D.
