This was dug recently in Denver, and I was told that it might possibly be Confederate. Can't seem to locate my micrometer, or even own one, so I used two other recent finds for scale. Sadly, the back of the bullet has been scraped rather harshly. Including a scan of the base. The 1918-D Buffalo was found at a torn down house, and except for it's discoloration, in is very nice shape. The bullet was found near where the "Dark One" recently dug a similar aged bullet. With the ink not yet dry, his pact with the devil is already bearing fruit. On the plus side, the street people seem to avoid us when we detect together. As well as cats, dogs, hell I don't even need flea repellent at some of the sites we've been hitting.

Looks like a ringtail Sharps to me but I'm not a bullet expert. Nice Finds.

Yep you have a Sharps Ringtail. They were used by the Confederates and Union. Nice find.
Can't wait to see what else you pull out of this site.
