Got out for a few hours with mbcuce this afternoon. My best find was a Confederate Cavalry coat button, but strangely I also found what looks like a Civil War period federal sleeve button. I'm sure there were no conflicts here. Could the sleeve button be from before or after the Civil War?
The Knights of Pythias coin is a real oddity. The internet says they formed in 1864. The coin looks like 20th century for sure.

Thanks. Yes. They're very rare around here. I've found two Rev War buttons and just this one Civil War. I suspect this one was lost by a veteran.

Great Finds!!! love the buttons
