I’m actually just looking for a book full of KC carvings - if anyone has a spare I’d love to hear from you - I will not be holding my breath
You mean KGC carvings. I have hundreds of them in my computer. The problem with KGC carvings and symbols, hardly any two are alike. Each person used mostly his own ideas. Some are uniform but very rare. My two books on the Confederate Gold in Danville has maybe forty photos and explanations. About all of them used the letter "M" for Greek Goddess Minerva, or Goddess Athena in Roman and the Knights Templar used the "Goddess of Heaven" which sometimes was "EVE" or the Constellation, Cassiopeia and sometimes Mary Magdalene. The letter "M" can be in the form of a cipher such as 13 and sometimes that grows up on a tree to look like the letter "B" Good luck in your hunts.

The real question is - how much of it is on govt land? You find it they’ll want a piece
A lot of the treasures are on either city, county, state or national properties. Others are on historic sites or plantations where you can never dig unless you are rich and purchase the property.

I was offered the Host Job of that show before Dystrea or whatever his name was that ended up on the Curse of the Civil War Gold. I could have taken the Host of the Show but I knew there were no CSA Gold Bars in lake Michigan.

It sucks but after what happened in PA I wouldn’t either
I can't tell you exactly what happened in PA as it is not allowed on this forum. But you have to go back to the origin of the story and that did not go any further than the 1960's. If you know what that means.

If all the ducks fell in a row that obviously that “treasure”would have been long gone anyhow - lake - magnetometer- find!!!!

ECS, If it was only the $350? I would have paid it about ten years ago when we found the Confederate Treasury. As for the two million dollars forget that too. I will do it all by myself when I am freed up from Family issues. There is more to treasure hunting than your open and shut cases. Mel Fisher found that out. He was in court about as much as he was hunting for treasure out in the ocean. Like William the Conqueror posted about Brad Meltzer and the History Channel's movie about the Lost Gold of the Confederacy. I was at home laughing my ass off, it was a complete comedy to me. When he saw the ghost on the tree and proclaimed there was no CSA Gold within 18 miles of Danville, twenty feet from that tree is where the stump was located where I found the 18 Confederate Treasury Coins. My double crossing partner boasted about not being able to find anything in that area as he had been all over it with his metal detectors. I asked him had he looked inside or under the stump. The next morning the stump was scattered all over the area as they had performed a mid-night dig. I know what I have found and I could care less what ECS, you or anyone else thinks they may know. I do know and I know for a FACT. View attachment 1848342 That little blue photo is a photo of one of the Mexican Silver Dollar kegs found at the bottom of a 23 foot well of Dr. Dame's under the pavement of the Moseley Church on Berryman Avenue. View attachment 1848343 I forgot about this 1853 Mexican Silver Dollar, my brother in law in WVa still has it. Sorry about the large Penny photo, made by mistake. There were a few large pennies as the Confederate Treasury had a barrel of them in Danville. The Gold 20 francs by partner in N.C. has it and the 1862 Indian Head Penny. My partner also has the 1861 Mexican Silver Dollar in the top right of the coins.
They found California gold strike era gold coins under a tree - be silly not to check trees in general

So ECS, just because I do not post what you want does not mean that I do not have it. Second, since you say you know where Sam McCubbin was those three days before President Jefferson Davis left Richmond-----------Post it. Do you have where he was up until the 10th of April, 1865? Every day? Was he rounding up Confederate Deserters all that time. Let us see if you can post it or eat it?Checkmate from Franklin

ECS, I have a lot information I will not share with anyone. It is all documented. The Virginia Bank Gold left Richmond about the second to early third week of February. Eye witness account. Other trains left with other stores and other treasures after the meeting of President Jefferson Davis with General Robert E. Lee. Robert E. Lee suggested to President Davis that if and when they leave Richmond they should retire to Danville, Va. Other stores and treasures were moved west towards Tennessee. That May 1st article you keep quoting have you actually read all of it and pay attention to what you are reading. It says that the New Orleans Gold and the Virginia Bank Gold was rushed down to the depot with "hot haste." Now there may have been only $186,000 in Virginia Bank Gold because over $2 Million had already been taken South to Augusta, Georgia in February. But, the New Orleans Gold was $2.3 Million in gold coins contained in 57 kegs, that being 2,000 double eagles to the keg and there was three kegs of US Silver Coins. Another issue to think about is where were all of the treasury clerks when President Davis left Richmond on April 2, 1865? Walter Philbrook and his clerk performed the inventory and escorted the treasure to Danville. This was only what I would call contraband===useless treasures except for the "straw treasure" to maintain Richmond until the evacuation. When Davis wife and Trenholm's wife and others left Richmond three days before the Confederate Government vacated Richmond is when Sam McCubbin and all the treasury clerks left with the $8 Million in specie. You can believe the historians that do not know the truth. But I am telling you I do know.
To quote Mr Wonka “Double huh!” Very good movie if you care to take a break from treasure hunting.

That was one of the Mexican Silver Dollar Kegs we found at the bottom of a 23 foot deep well under a paved church parking lot. We found hundreds of pounds of band wire from boxes and kegs that had been burned in the well. The coins had been removed and buried, most likely hauled off in coffins to a burial in the cemetery.

Diebrell dug under a building in the City of Danville. He owned it. The renters were the ones that found the gold bars. Diebrell gave the boys $20 to keep quite while he made away with the gold. One of the 58 treasures is very interesting as it has the Head of Christ carved into it. Don't know if one of the CSA Treasure depositories has the "Holy Grail" or not. But it must be something to do with Biblical History. Maybe the "Ark of the Covenant?"
Oak Island - interesting that one of the Confederate leaders wound up in Nova Scotia after being abroad following the War

Darn Franklin, the story gets more and more interesting ! I believe that's is the same Dibrell family. I had heard that story, now I actually believe it. It would be awesome if we could connect the confederate treasure with the " holy grail " as well as the "ark of the covenant ". That would be incredible to say the least, even though that would be a big stretch, which leads me to a story. I went to the dog park on westover drive ,to walk my dog Charlie (girl). As I well yelling at Charlie, someone spoke up and said, I've heard that voice. He said I saw you on TV at the city council meeting. You're the one that knows where the treasury is located. That was me, and I said how do you know,The "tree of life". And I said I figured it out through freemasonry, about George Washington, who was a mason. That's how I started by learning, and researching this supposedly treasure. Come to find out he was a descendant of Col. William Prescott of colonial America who was at the battle of Saratoga. I didn't get to talk long as he was working. But to this day, I haven't figured out what he meant by the " tree of life"? When I do I'll let everybody know. How could it be connected?
The tree of life is very big in Templar and Masonic circles. For the templars it gave them instructions on how I’m

From Wikipedia:

The tree of life usually consists of 10 or 11 nodes symbolizing different archetypes and 22 paths connecting the nodes. The nodes are often arranged into three columns to represent that they belong to a common category.

In kabbalah, the nodes are called sefirot.

The templar order holds the 10 sefirot as the blueprint for living ones life, The Masons also held the tree of life as important.

The traditional list of sefirot is:
1. Keter "Crown"
2. Chokhmah "Wisdom"
3. Binah "Understanding"
4. Hesed "Compassion"
5. Gevurah "Discernment"

Not even for a split?
No. I have offered landowners one half of a ten million dollar treasure to dig only one hole. If not there it will be restored to almost natural as it was before I dug. If there they would get $5 million. But they would not allow it. I had two different landowners turn me down on that deal in Oklahoma. Not counting how many here in Virginia, North Carolina, South Carolina and Georgia. If you don't have plenty of cash to begin with or a rich investor, you can forget digging up these large treasures.
I’d like to look in the basements of some houses in Baltimore that were tied to the kgb with a metal detector
Read the book, "Knight's Gold," by Jack Myers. That treasure has already been recovered.

I wondered how hard it would be to detect along the Potomac looking for revolutionary relics - how much of it is federal parks, etc - would need battle maps and go from there

Interesting - from what was noted on the web also the treasure seekers were looking at a buried kgc site more recently complete with cannons, supplies, etc. half of what I read I consider hearsay

I’ll be honest - Baltimore is one rough city - if it’s in the rougher part of town I wouldn’t be looking anyways

Does it go back to it to the property being kept in the family for centuries and the “sentinel” aspect - the belief that said money is being kept for a future war (?!?). I mean, that goes beyond just stay off my property - who wouldn’t want a split? Or, is it a simple no - we will not deal with outsiders. Getting inside the mentality of a landowner - I guess not worth going there.
