I just read “Shadow of the Centinel” and “Jesse James was One of His Names.” Sounds like the Johnny Rebs had much more gold stashed for the Second Civil War than anybody knew. Pair that with the Golden Lily (“Yamashita”) treasure and the truth is: I dont want to find that much gold. Somebody will just show up and kill you, or some banker will deny ever meeting you and the govt will steal it from you after ruining you first.
I liked the “Curse of Civil War Gold” story, more believable after reading those two books.
Guys and gals, don’t be so hard on Kevin Dykstra and crew, I’m sure many of us have launched out on the hunt with a fraction of the research. I’m thankful nobody wanted to televise my miserable failure searching for Fenn’s gold in Yellowstone.
