Can anyone help to value this dug CS203A button. It was recently recovered in Central Virginia and is super rare. There are none available to purchase that I can find anywhere. Thanks! In my 1997 North South Trader Civil War price guide it's seven hundred in 1997! All's I can say is WOW!

Thank you guys. I’m new here so bear with me as I figure things out.

Joe, was that for undug?

No that was for excavated!

Amazing. Thanks again!

Is that price not for a Un-dug Condition button.?

That's really the only issue I have had with NSTCW price guides , that said 'like in Coins there could be 1 - 70 Categories that would explain 'Dug Condition'.

Ill say on a 1 - 100 the OP's button would grade a "IMO" would grade a 65-70 Dug.

Also it may be worth getting a professional to repair the back.

I'd Never sell. Unless ???????????

Sorry I did not see this before posting , I could be wrong , The price guide was 'pricey ' & I used to burrow one from a friend who passed 2 + years ago.

Holy Smokes What a beauty

Thanks everybody. Sounds like it needs to become a family heirloom.

Finding one of these would be enough to almost make the ole' Ticker stop beating, or at least skip a few beats. Yes sir, this would be a piece to pass down and keep in your family. Happy for you.

Thanks everybody. Creskol, that is not a 302A. They have no back mark. How much is he asking?

Never mind. It’s at the bottom. $700

I didn't say it was .. I merely posted it as a point of reference to your question of what your button might be worth.

Ok. Sorry. Thanks. Not trying to upset anyone.
