Hit the road about an hour from home today and dug some great stuff. The site was an old homestead that was burned during the rev war and used again as a hospital and camp site during the civil war. It was way off the beaten path and a beautiful drive.
First find of the day was the possible rev war pewter. I believe it was an 82nd regiment of foot which spent time in coastal SC. Attached is a pic of mine as well as what they look like in better shape.

Next find of the day was a nice shield nickel as well as some flat buttons, several musket rounds and what I believe may be a sword hand guard?

Lastly came what I think was the find of the day and a bucket list find for me, a South Carolina militia civil war button. The back is intact and reads Schuyler and Co NY. Happy hunting and thanks for looking!
