I have what looked like a typical US half dollar...at one time...
1776-1976 year coin.
At some point in time, it was embossed with a big liberty bell into kennedy's face.
Why is this?? Is this something an everyday Joe- blow did at home for shits- n- grins??
The Liberty bell is with perfect detail...on the front that is...
Hmmm....
I was thinking maybe it was made in a coin "thingy" you see at many say..."attractions"
I know everyone has seen one of those they do with pennies where the penny is elongated and flattened as it is stamped with a picture of some kind. Thing is, this coin is not ruined on the edges, and hasn't been flattened.
Is there a machine to do this at the site of Liberty bell??
I didn't see it when I was there, but that doesn't mean anything.
Better pics now!
