Today my best friend and I hunted Blount Spings - one of the most hunted places in Alabama. I dove into the woods to try to find a less hunted area.... well after 2 hours I came back to the parking area where he had done all his hunting. I knew from his face he had something... I showed my seven nails and 6 pull tabs and then he pulley out his 2000+ pennys... and said he had one more thing. I said what... then he pulled his '46 mercury dime. Oh well.. no matter how much an area has been hunted you never know.

congrats! any chance that Merc could be 1945? Roosevelts started in '46

Yea 45 my bad... it was still dirty when I looked at it. I didn't see him pull it out of the hole so he may have just bought it on Ebay and said he found it.....I was really happy when he pulled it out of his pocket anyway... I thought our day was a bust.... we took a day off work, burned 15$ in gas, 15$ on lunch, 8$ in batteries but he found a dime worth 2$ so we did great!!!!!

THAT'S the spirit! Never mind all that trivial stuff... so long as someone found something worthy of a post.

Heh - thanks guys - it was a '42 and pretty worn, but nice to finally break the silver barrier. :happysmiley:
