Conical lead item ??

Why would this have been cast like this?? it's 15/16 x 1"3/8 high. I don't believe it's a plumb bob or a bullet? HH

The second image looks like there is a hole in the middle it's just an imperfection in the casting.

I would guess fishing weight...

BK, I think it's a fishing weight that has been 'rode up and put up wet,' and the hook/loop is missing, which is probably why there's is a hole in the top. Breezie
