Got out to a few cellar holes today and found the 1787 CT copper and few other trinkets. The copper was found at a spot that someone else had hit recently. There were fresh holes everywhere.
I need some help Identifying the copper. I can't find a match for it. The identifying features are: Left facing bust, "CONNECT" (yes, with a "T" on it??) and two stars following it, "INDE ET LIB" on reverse with two stars following it. Any help?
That suspender clip with the loop still hanging on it was a fun find. It's got a pat date of 1871 on it. The buckle is a first for me....shoe buckle? The silver thing looks suspiciously like sterling but I have my doubts, probably just very heavily plated.
Enjoy the pics!
