Detector(s) used
White's Prizm III Garrett's GTP 1350
I am considering very strongly buying a GTP 1350. I bought a White's Prizm III in March and I am not very satisfied with it. 20 years ago I hunted with a Garrett Groundhog and loved it. The machine was a silver magnet. Is the current crop of Garrett detectors still as good? Any imput on the 1350 would be greatly appreciated.

I never had the 1350 but from what everyone i know that has one they really like it. I have thr GTI 1500 and i will not give it up again i started with Garrett about 30 years ago then left to try other detectors and now am back with Garrett and happy to be back...............

Both the GTI & GTP series have the ability to size a target. Once you get proficient with that feature, and learn its limitations, you are going to dig a lot more coins and jewelry, simply because the larger sized junk saved you a lot of digging time. I strictly used the GTP 1350 for the whole year except for water hunting. Below are my coin results for 2005. That should answer your silver question......

I just ordered my GTP 1350 from KellyCo. It is being shipped tomorrow morning. I am coming home to Garrett where I belong.
