I hunted a large construction site today where they tore down several old houses. I found several items laying right on top of the ground. There was broken bottles, glass and pottery scattered everywhere. Today I found two wheat pennies, two military style buckles, one small brass buckle, another buckle with an unusual design on it, compact, large copper cap, top of a pocket watch, a 1946 Knoxille Transit token and several buttons. Probaby my best find was something I thought was modern until I got home and cleaned it up and researched it. It is a coin rolled token from the 1901 Pan American Exposition. The front reads CHAS. F. DAMM COIN ROLLING MACHINES 511 WASHINGTON ST BUFFALO NY and the back reads a I WAS AT THE PAN AMERICAN EXPOSITION ON PRESIDENTS DAY SEPT. 5, 1901. I also found an ink well and several other pieces.
