GOLD Cadet Button - United States Military Academy (West Point)

[GoingDown]

Can anyone estimate this button's age? Found this morning deep in the woods alongside the Hudson River in 6" soil near (but not TOO near) West Point.

Based on the backmark, Scovill MG Co. _______, 1850-1865

Civil War era West Point Cadet Button as mentioned above (1850-1865), the backmark is the proof in the pudding. Congrats on a Beauty!
