I went pokin around a friends property today. Detected for a while it's still calibrated to cowbell clackers and axe heads. Lots of trash the area has never really been detected. I have years of trash targets ahead of me. I ended up on a creek that borders their land lots of hand stacks. The claims were small and and a mix of Chinese and normal miners you c a n tell who was where. So I find a crack some one gave up on and ended up opening a seam. Crystallized pocket free gold and gold in the mineralized sidewall. I only panned three pans of the clay out of the pocket I had very little water in a puddle to even use. The pictures don't do justice for how fresh looking the gold is. I have found several 1/3 dwt pieces downstream in another seam. They all had quartz attached. I find broken crystals for about a 1/4 mile of the creek and the same fresh gold.

Fresh pocket! Nice.

Have you calculated the frequency and strike of the seams yet?
Get it right and you can almost point to where the next one will be.

Congratulations, good karma for a good man. :notworthy:

Barry I'm leaving out a lot of details8-). I was walking a line. This was bedrock at creek bottom that is under water most of the year and since its been dry I decided to take advantage. After looking for pockets on the hillsides around the depression era digs up on the hillside. I figured I would look for some standing water to pan in. I have found great gold down stream because of the same type of veins with the same dip and strike they are all the same direction. The thing is they are exposed at the creek bottom yet on both sides of the creek the bedrock is covered by acres of hand stacks and sluice tailings. When there's water I run the tailings for the gold they missed. When there no water enough to pan at least I walk the creek looking for fractures I can get at.
Do to info I got from you I can confidently head of into the brush and find these areas a little easier thank you :notworthy:
