Cool colonial button just in time for St. Patrick's day.

Had an hour to kill and hit an old farm I had been to more than once. Found this cool old button. Any guesses on dates? I'm thinking mid 1700's. Reminded me of a four leaf clover.

Definately 18th century ! I think the question is weather it is a button or a mount ? It appears to have had an iron post or nail through the center as the attatchment point . A nice shamrock looking shape with a nice scrolled design on it ! Nice find ! M.R.

Hmmm. Good point. Maybe it isn't a button. :icon_scratch:

it would be an unusual button wouldnt it? maybe it is a mount. pretty cool whatever it is.

From the land of the Bluenose.....interesting find to say the least. Not sure if in fact it is a button......but looks as if it will bring you good luck!
