Found this button a few days back and need help with identification. It’s kinda crusty but it looks like a sun with stars in between the rays
Also, can anyone recommend a good book or books for id of these type button?

Also found this ornate dial handle off a lantern I believe. 289F59BF-47D4-422A-B014-ED49870C7BF6.webp23660D4C-C42B-4E15-9540-1EAA4E5F0399.webp Thanks for looking.7BBF1182-843C-4399-9F30-45393C4DA169.webp78E6F95F-84B1-4E3F-96AE-C5DD8E85C732.webpC3B23BFD-76F2-417A-8A1E-1D5DA773599C.webp

The Dandy Buttons were UK manufactured & so were the tie backs. (no sure if the US made some of the tie backs? probably not in the late 18th C)
Gordon Bailey has a Button Book but it more aimed at the UK. There are lots of other Button books but many of the US Military ones are very expensive & out of print.
