Dug this interesting medal in the town woods. I know nothing about the property's history yet, but I saw lots of stone walls, so I am thinking old farm, maybe late 1800s or early 1900s. I only had an hour, so I walked around randomly to scout and get a feel for the area. I was mostly finding shotgun shell headstamps (early 1900s UMC Co) until I dug this object near a small circle of rocks that I thought might have been an old campsite. It has an eagle with what I think might be an angel holding a halo over its head (unless I am imagining that). There is a letter N underneath. The back has no markings, but looks scored. I was thinking horse rosette, but I don't see any clips. I am not sure of the metal, but am thinking zinc/copper or maybe lead. Any ideas on what this might be? Thanks for looking and for any comments
