I have been working to much and no time for detecting! Enough is enough,finally got in about an hour and a half tonight. I uncovered an Indian,a couple of wheats,a 1956 coin from the Netherlands,a necklace? with a horse head on it,and a very cool Masonic token! I am definately going out tomorrow!
HH everyone!

Very cool token!!

Nice haul!! I like your token, found one in the Kenosha area, (where I grew up), just about like it. HH

That Masonic token is terrific. I sure would have liked that find simply because it is a Masonic item, not to mention that nice 19th century date on it. ;)

:o Really nice find on that Token. Finding one of those would have made my whole summer! HH and hope you get out more offten.

When I was stationed at KI Sawyer AFB, MI, I found a masonic token that was concave shaped like a bowl. It was also from 1855 but was from Marquette. The date and lettering was in perfect condition due to it being on the inside of the concaved token. Great find, BP

Nice finds for a short hunt!

nice hunt and finds there

dieharddigger;

Your Masonic coin is from the Royal Arch Masons, it is given to a Mark Master Mason after his first degree, to put his mark within the circle, your's doesn't appear to have any marks. That's to bad because every coin given out,( when the Mark Master Mason has it inscribed), is registered in the Book of Marks, where you might find out who the owner was.

That is definately a keeper of a token. Congrats on that beaut.

Thanks for the info on the token Frank. Do you or anyone know what the letters stand for? and why does it say "ONE PENNY"?
I e-mailed a token guy in Scotland,but so far,no response.
Thanks, Steve
