Found this knife this morning, not sure how old this knife is exactly. Rang in the gold tones about 5 inches down in my back yard. Blade may be gilded and handle pewter? Material is not magnetic. In my yard I seem to find a lot of Indian artifacts about 8 inches down in the vicinity of this little knife.
Thanks for looking.

That's weird how the back seems to be flat

Looks a lot like a letter opener to me

The back is flatter then the front. Hard to pick up but it is decorated as well with striations running the length almost like a tree with the end being the roots. I have it soaking in vinegar to clean it up a bit. The part just above the blade looks to be a flower.

Cool find.....blade is shaped kind of like a butter knife....Congrats on the find...Shorty

Cleaned it up a bit. Looks to be a gilded butter knife. Not sure on age though. Blade looks to be copper and handle looks to be lead/pewter, or brittania. Thanks for looking.
