I found this nautical theme swim suit buckle a while back but forgot all about it and never posted it.
I'm not sure of the metal but I think it's kinda' old given the location where I found it. It's different if nothing else, that's for sure.

And here's a view from the back. You can't tell by the pic but there are pointy, serrated teeth under the folding part that dig into the belt fabric in order to hold it in place. They're still sharp after being buried for who knows how long.

It's still intact but parts of it are quite fragile, specifically, the lip on the left when looking from the back side.
I almost threw it away thinking it was just some old junk at first. Once I brushed off the sand I changed my mind.

If anyone has any clue as to the age, make/brand or whatever please feel free to let me know.

It is easy to like anything with a "Sailing Ship" on it !!! I have a item with one of those ships hmm wheres that picture at ???fav relic find sbp.webp

My only ship picture type item, keep on digging maybe someday will find another ship type item.
