I was beginning to wonder if all the local sales were going to be full of imported junk and kids' clothing... In all I went to 21 garage sales in two days....
For an outside porch, I found a pair of those 40lb. cast iron Hunter ceiling fan motors and one set of reversible-pitch 52" blades, all for $10.00
Then, on Saturday, at two different sales, one advertised and one just following the signs, I bought about 66 grams of .925, and 3.5 grams of 12kt. leaf shaped pendant & about 4 grams of 14kt gold pendants. Spent $11.00
The lady at sale where some silver the gold was found said, "There won't be any silver or gold. We've went through it......" Since she said that, I smiled, pulled out my 5x pocket magnifier, and kept looking..... From the silver chains downward was found there, for $10.00 and the top row I paid $1.00 for the four things.....
For $11.00, there should be about $220.00 worth of gold and silver...so don't give up, there's still some out there....
