I picked these up all in a little baggie for $1 the 4 bigger eagle buttons and 4 smaller eagle button have the Waterbury name on it so they are authentic (I assume) I just don't know at what point in time they were made because replicas are still being made and sold. The are gold plate for sure and must go on a "dress" uniform

The buttons pictured in the top right (top 4) are not marked but the bottom 2 one says Vanguard and the other Waterbury

The buttons in the bottom right, the pins with the rifles say N.S.Meyer Inc New York the bottom 2 in the lower right hand corner,The F.D. button says Waterbury (Which is identical to the one I found a few weeks ago) and Postal Telegraph Company Button says Browning King Co. on the back.

if you have any comments about these please feel free to make them... if you have a little more history on them don't be shy just put it out there... for me you don't have to be 100% right because any info will lead me to the correct answers if you are not.

Thank for Looking!

When was the term last used?

Postal Telegraph Company?

Was the post office where you sent telegraphs too?

How long ago was that?

I can't be much help with the buttons, but the two Infantry collar discs look to be post WW2 up into the 1950's from the pic. At least they look to be the "domed" two piece type.

The buttons on the left are great seal button 1909 or newer I believe. I'm not sure about the ones on the right but I'm sure are newer an probably could be used on a uniform today. I would think

Waterbury CT was a huge brass city...
