ok, i'll bite... what is it?

Not sure. Looks like an alligator head with quartz teeth. I'm sure its natural but its still very cool. Its super heavy too. I'll post some better picture soon. Found it years ago, in some land that had been ripped up by logging vehicles. I took it because it would have been lost forever/crushed by heavy machinery, I truly believed.
