I have two different guys in my area that have offered to buy my copper cent hoard for 1.5-times face. I told them that I would consider the offer after checking around and listening to the market news.
Are they pulling my leg, or is there a breaking news item thats in the works about the value of copper. Comments

I would take that offer if it were me. If I sold $1000 in copper cents for $1500, I could replace them at face value in a short period of time. It's not like it's hard to find them.

There was an ad I read in a local newspaper in my town where a guy was buying Wheaties for 2 1/2 cents a piece

Unless they are planning on changing the law regarding melting copper cents sometime soon, I would sell. Get your profit now and let someone else pay to store the stuff.
