Found yesterday. Seems like copper under some black patina. Holed for a necklace. Not really sure but I wore it for good luck.

Saw a few holes in the ground and a lot of scrap iron. Took home a couple new blades including a Kunai.

* for better or worse I have found some unique Egyptian themed finds here. Including a carved bust of Nefertiti laying in the woods. Who is to say what history does not yet? - Silver ankh of reeds guy

Interesting find - good luck with the ID !

A photo with a white background and better focus might help, I only see a semi blurry dark round object, no detail.
There is not much to see but I will try to get a pic in good lighting. I do wonder what it was. Maybe an ornament or mill part.

Think this one might remain a mystery.

Still a great find :)
Thank you for showing us

Check the diameter and weight and compare it to old copper coin specs.

It is really big like the size of a damper. I soaked it in coke and then vinegar. It took some of the grime away. It appears to be gold painted iron or something. No real images other than a maybe eye. I really wanted this to be that damn mastodon coin but it is probably an ancient Christmas ornament.

Thank you. My heart dropped when I saw it was holed like a necklace.

Nice!!! Congrats!!!

Better pics after potato scrubs. Very odd looks like iron and gold mixed. Maybe plated or painted. Can only make out an elongated eye in the right pic. Center right.

May update one last time eventually. Thanks for looking.
