Found on a 1800s logging camp site. The camp burned to the ground as there is lots of evidence of melted lead and ash. The button shank was most likely soldered on but the heat removed all signs of it (assuming). It feels like a coin but its slightly domed and has nothing present on the under side. Seems like a specific design that could be recognized by someone
