🔎 UNIDENTIFIED Copper piece dated 1892

Not sure what this is found Maryland colonial site thanks for any help

The date is a Patent date, so the actual date of the piece will be later than that, still old but hard to tell the actual date without knowing what it is, are there no other numbers on it, if it has the Patent number on it then that could be researched to know what it actually is?
