Call your local scrapyard. It varies from place to place....usually dependent on how far away from a refinery the yard is.

Hi Gang,
Just remember (at least in this state of SC)
that if you sell too much copper to a scrap dealer they must inform the sheriff's office. I think the limit is 25 lbs. but that may have changed.

YOu could take a copper elaphant in here and they wouldnt say anything.


Copper #1 was 2.75 today and #2 was 2.50

I scored two copper motors out of the old fans someone had put on the curb. Got $6 for both..
I also sold a few bags of alum. cans.. Total haul was like $17.50.. was some hard working cash.
I make way more with a real job that I am lucky to still be holding onto.
