Firstly thanks to Land-Mag that gave us the heads up that the area had been flatten.

Last visit to this 1/2 acre game strip we pealed off 9 Roman Coins from an 8-9 inch ankle breaker. Today after it was worked flat (not drill & still a little bumpy) we had 12 Roman Coins.
We then moved to a nearby game strip of nearly 1 acre but as it was in no-mans land we only managed 1 Roman Coin & a few buttons.

With time to spare, we tried Cru'Dad's trick of doing the tyre tracks on the Wheat field (Roman Brooch Field) & ended up with another 5 coins!

These coins have helped to tip us over the best recorded April ever!

18 Roman Coins
18th C Pewter button - Thought Military when first dug!
Broken Roman Casket Mount - Lions Head

By doing the edge tyre tracks we proved that the coin scatter goes further than previously plotted, in an area I've been wanting to check. so in future we have somewhere to expand on the Brooch Field.

Wow congrats I enjoy seeing the things you find

Good to find out that a site is bigger than expected. More to come!

Cool stuff CRU!

Great stuff as usual

I bet finding them coins is like us finding Indian Head Cents over here. I would definitely never get bore of digging them though.

Wonderful stuff cru, just curious, being a game strip were you driven crazy by lead shot?

No, but the shotgun cartridges, sound like Roman Coins.
