Not sure if many of you are postcard collectors but today I found this for $1. All those ones I've seen online are black and orange. This one however is all black. What are your opinions? Thanks.

The small text states"This card was carried on the Hindenburg on its initial flight from Friedrichshafen to Lakehurst N.J. It is mailed to you with the compliments of the Tide water oil company, whose product was selected to lubricate the giant ship.

Nazi era Zeppelin Postcards and Envelope

notice the stamps? germans loved to stamp all the printed materials they could....like a passport.

it is possible it is an original...
but one can only speculate from a photograph...take it to a document collector in your area...

Why doesn't show paper or cardboard ageing ? Anything that old should be off white ( yellowed ) or let's say "paper patina" and have some signs of being exposed to air like brittling of the tattering of the edges . Most all older paper or thin cardboard show this even when stored the best it can . IMHO ,

The original multi-colored postcard also had advertising on the back. Your's was blank. It's also not the usual rectangular postcard size/shape. It may be a "copy" of the original and was sold for use as a note card??

That was really my guess, but as always had to make sure. Thanks.
